OUR MISSION
Every sheriff leaves a legacy in their wake. In 2019 Jesse Slaughter was sworn in as Sheriff of Cascade County, Montana. Slaughter is the first to be elected to the position without first serving as a deputy sheriff with the agency. June 2019 Sheriff Slaughter spearheaded the initiative to establish the Sheriffs Legacy Foundation.

The Foundation works to raise funds that directly support equipment, training, and other essentials not covered in the annual budget allotted to the Cascade County Sheriff's Office. Cascade County is full of hard-working Montanans who find honor in preserving their heritage, satisfaction in a hard days work, and pride in providing for their families. A portion of donations collected by the Foundation directly benefits a community member in need or distress.
